Evolve Showerhead is the real deal.
I love taking a warm shower in the winter, especially one that has uninterrupted water flow. But my old home, built in the early 1960's, has terrible water pressure- the kind that ebbs and flows when the toilet is flushed or another faucet is running at the same time. This water pressure problem really irks me, and has been the bane of my existence for quite some time. So, you could imagine my elation at the sound of a new showerhead-- the one mentioned in the title of this blog-- called Evolve + ShowerStart TSV. This Evolve Showerhead was designed with water saving and and shower comfort features, such as flow rate restriction, rain style pattern for better water coverage, and especially helpful- a pressure compensating flow regulator. Another handy feature that I wasn’t specifically seeking but uncovered after researching showerheads was the ShowerStart TSV feature. The “TSV” part at the end of the name stands for thermostatic shut-off valve, and it is the really neat part. When you turn on your shower for the first time, after installing this showerhead, you immediately put the water lever or dial, whichever you have, to the hot water mark. Then, once the hot water is flowing and reaches 95 °F, the TSV kicks in and reduces your water flow to a trickle--thereby saving your hot water from being wasted down the drain. Once you detect the water trickling out of the showerhead, you know the shower is ready for you to enjoy the warmed up water. The only actions left to take are to adjust your water temperature setting from hot to moderate so no scalding occurs, and then releasing the water flow by pulling on the cord attached to the TSV valve above the shower head. Now you are enjoying the fantastic shower just the way you felt when first experienced in your youth. I have been using the evolve + ShowerStart TSV showerhead for about a week now and love it!
